Twitch Profile Picture Resizer
Your Twitch profile picture appears on your channel, in chat and in the following list. This page resizes it to a 256×256 square, centred for Twitch’s circle crop. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.
Drag the preview to choose which part of the image is kept. The same framing is used for every image in the batch.
Getting the Twitch profile picture right
The profile picture is your channel’s identity in chat, search and viewers’ follow lists, always shown as a small circle.

Larger squares are fine.

Same colours as your banner and offline screen.
About 10 KB–20 KB as JPG
A typical photo at 256×256 saves to roughly 10 KB–20 KB at good quality — well within the upload limit.
You choose the crop
Filling 256×256 from a 3:4 phone photo trims about 25% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick the fit option to keep everything.

A channel picture viewers recognise
Seen in the sidebar. Viewers find you in their followed channels list, where your picture is a small circle next to your name. A bold logo or a clear face makes you easy to spot when you go live.
256×256 minimum. Twitch asks for at least 256×256 pixels. Larger squares are scaled down and stay sharp; anything smaller looks soft.

Frequently asked questions
What size is a Twitch profile picture?
At least 256×256 pixels, JPG, PNG or GIF up to 10 MB. Twitch shows it as a circle.
Why is my Twitch profile picture blurry?
It was smaller than 256×256 or cropped from a small area. Start from a larger image.
Can my Twitch profile picture be animated?
Twitch accepts GIF files, but they may not animate everywhere. A still image is the safe choice.
Is the Twitch picture the same as my Discord PFP?
Both are squares shown as circles, so one image can serve both (Discord looks best at 512×512).
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
