Resize Image to 3000×1500
3000×1500 is a 2:1 frame at print-friendly resolution. It is used for large website hero images, wide banners and panoramic prints where a standard 16:9 feels too tall. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.
Drag the preview to choose which part of the image is kept. The same framing is used for every image in the batch.
Why choose 3000×1500?
At 3000×1500 pixels, an image holds 4.5 megapixels in a wide 2:1. It is a common choice for blog images, slides and landscape photos.
2:1 landscape shape
The wide 2:1 proportion decides how your photo is framed: plan the subject around that shape before you crop.
Where it is used
3000×1500 suits blog images, slides and landscape photos. Using the exact size avoids a website scaling or cropping your image on its own.
Prints 10×5 in at 300 DPI
That is 25.4×12.7 cm at photo quality, or 20×10 in at 150 DPI for posters viewed from a distance.
About 700 KB–1.4 MB as JPG
Expect around 700 KB–1.4 MB for a JPG photo at this size. Simple graphics are smaller, PNG photos several times larger.
Sharp results
A 12 MP phone photo has 2.7× more pixels than 3000×1500, so resizing down keeps it sharp.
Framing control
Filling 3000×1500 from a 4:3 phone photo trims about 33% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick “Keep aspect ratio” to keep it all.

Working with a 2:1 hero or print
2:1 is wider than widescreen. 16:9 is 1.78:1, so 2:1 trims a little more height. It suits landscapes, interiors and product line-ups, and leaves room for overlaid text in wide hero sections.
Crop before you resize. A 3:2 camera photo loses about a quarter of its height reaching 2:1. Use the cropper to decide whether that comes off the sky or the foreground, then resize here. This page sets exact width and height, so a non-2:1 source would otherwise be stretched.
Hero images. 3000 pixels wide covers even very large monitors at high density. That is also a heavy file — compress it and serve a smaller version to phones where you can. Use JPG to WebP to save more.
Print. At 300 DPI, 3000×1500 prints 10×5 inches; at 150 DPI, 20×10 inches, which is fine for a poster viewed from a few feet away.
Keep your original. At this size, source quality shows. Resize down from a larger camera file rather than up from a web image.
Same shape, smaller: 1000×500. Other wide sizes: 2560×1440, 1500×500.

Frequently asked questions
What aspect ratio is 3000×1500?
3000×1500 has a wide 2:1 aspect ratio. Images with a different shape have to be cropped or padded to fit it.
How big will a 3000×1500 image print?
At 300 DPI (photo quality) 3000×1500 prints at 10×5 inches (25.4×12.7 cm). At 150 DPI it covers 20×10 inches, fine for posters seen from further away.
How large is a 3000×1500 file?
A photo at 3000×1500 is usually 700 KB–1.4 MB as a JPG, and about 490 KB–980 KB as WebP. If you need it smaller, run it through the compressor afterwards.
Will my photo lose quality at 3000×1500?
No — a normal phone photo is much larger, so it is scaled down and stays sharp.
Can I resize to 3000×1500 without cropping?
Yes. Tick “Keep aspect ratio”: the whole picture is kept, but one side may come out shorter than 3000×1500. Without it, the image fills 3000×1500 exactly and the edges that do not fit the 2:1 shape are trimmed.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
