About 120 KB–240 KB as JPG
A typical photo at 1200×627 saves to roughly 120 KB–240 KB at good quality — well within the upload limit.
You choose the crop
Filling 1200×627 from a 4:3 phone photo trims about 30% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick the fit option to keep everything.

Frequently asked questions
What are the main LinkedIn image sizes?
Profile photo 400×400, personal banner 1584×396, square post 1200×1200, landscape post 1200×627, article cover 1920×1080, company logo 300×300 and company cover 1512×256.
Did LinkedIn change the company cover size?
Yes. LinkedIn now lists 1512×256 as the minimum and recommended company Page cover, replacing 1128×191.
What is the best image size for LinkedIn posts?
A 1200×1200 square or 1200×1500 portrait takes more space on phones; 1200×627 suits wide photos and links.
Why do LinkedIn images look blurry?
LinkedIn compresses uploads. Starting from an image at the exact size, saved as PNG for text and JPG for photos, gives the cleanest result.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
