LinkedIn Post Image Resizer

Square images take up more room in the LinkedIn feed than wide ones, especially on phones. This page resizes your image to a sharp 1200×1200 square for posts. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.

Getting the LinkedIn post image right

LinkedIn accepts many image shapes, but square and portrait images fill more of the feed on phones than the classic wide format.

📱

Taller in the app

Roughly twice the height of a landscape post on phones.

📊

Great for charts and quotes

One clear idea in large type reads instantly.

▢

Never cropped

Squares are shown in full on every device.

🔁

Reusable

The same square works on Instagram, Facebook and X.

💾

About 220 KB–450 KB as JPG

A typical photo at 1200×1200 saves to roughly 220 KB–450 KB at good quality — well within the upload limit.

✂

You choose the crop

Filling 1200×1200 from a 3:4 phone photo trims about 25% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick the fit option to keep everything.

Making a LinkedIn post image stand out

Square beats wide on phones. Most LinkedIn reading happens in the app, where a square image is about twice as tall as a 1.91:1 landscape one. More height means more attention as people scroll.

Charts and quotes. Simple data charts, quotes and slides work well in a square. Use large type — the image is shown at roughly phone-screen width — and keep to one idea per image.

Even taller? LinkedIn also shows 4:5 portrait images (for example 1200×1500) in full. For a wide photo or a shared link, use the 1200×627 landscape size.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best image size for a LinkedIn post?

A 1200×1200 square works well and takes more space in the feed than a landscape image. 1200×627 is the standard landscape size.

Should LinkedIn images be square or landscape?

Square (or 4:5 portrait) images take more space in the mobile feed. Landscape suits wide photos and link-style posts.

Why does LinkedIn crop my image?

Very tall images are trimmed in the feed preview. Square, 4:5 and 1.91:1 are shown in full.

Can I post several images?

Yes. Keeping them the same size makes the multi-image layout tidier.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
