Resize Image to 2000×2000
2000×2000 is the round-number high-resolution square. Stores, print shops and art platforms often quote it as a recommended size, and it prints at nearly 7 inches at 300 DPI. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.
Drag the preview to choose which part of the image is kept. The same framing is used for every image in the batch.
Why choose 2000×2000?
2000×2000 is a square image of 4,000,000 pixels (4 megapixels) in a square (1:1), mostly used for high-resolution product photos for zoom on marketplaces.
1:1 square shape
Every 2000×2000 image has a square (1:1) ratio, so anything you design for it keeps the same proportions on every screen.
The exact size needed
2000×2000 is the exact size for high-resolution product photos for zoom on marketplaces, so your image is shown as-is instead of being re-scaled or cropped by the platform.
Prints 6.67×6.67 in at 300 DPI
That is 16.9×16.9 cm at photo quality, or 13.3×13.3 in at 150 DPI for posters viewed from a distance.
About 620 KB–1.2 MB as JPG
A typical photo at 2000×2000 saves to roughly 620 KB–1.2 MB at good JPG quality; WebP is usually 25–35% smaller.
Sharp results
A 12 MP phone photo has 3× more pixels than 2000×2000, so resizing down keeps it sharp.
Framing control
Filling 2000×2000 from a 4:3 phone photo trims about 25% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick “Keep aspect ratio” to keep it all.

Using a 2000×2000 master image
A good master size. Four megapixels in a square is enough for zoomable product photos, social posts at any size and small prints. Many people keep a 2000×2000 master and resize down from it for everything else.
Marketplace and store listings. Several platforms recommend images around 2000 pixels on the long side. Higher resolution helps zoom and future- proofs your listing if the platform raises its display size.
Print sizes. At 300 DPI, 2000 pixels prints 6.67 inches — good for 6×6 inch cards and small art prints. At 200 DPI you can go to 10 inches with acceptable quality for viewing at arm's length.
File size. A 2000×2000 JPG at high quality is often 400 KB–1.2 MB, depending on detail. PNG can be several megabytes for photos. If a form has a limit, use Compress JPG or target 500 KB.
Crop square first. The cropper lets you choose the frame before resizing.
Next to this: 2048×2048 (the power-of-two version), 1600×1600, 2400×2400.

Frequently asked questions
How large can I print a 2000×2000 image?
About 6.7 inches square at 300 DPI, which is photo-print quality. At 200 DPI it is 10 inches square, which still looks good on a wall viewed from a normal distance.
What aspect ratio is 2000×2000?
2000×2000 has a square (1:1) aspect ratio. Any size with the same ratio — for example 2048×2048, 1920×1920 — can be scaled to it without cropping.
How big will a 2000×2000 image print?
At 300 DPI (photo quality) 2000×2000 prints at 6.67×6.67 inches (16.9×16.9 cm). At 150 DPI it covers 13.33×13.33 inches, fine for posters seen from further away.
How large is a 2000×2000 file?
A photo at 2000×2000 is usually 620 KB–1.2 MB as a JPG, and about 440 KB–880 KB as WebP. If you need it smaller, run it through the compressor afterwards.
Will my photo lose quality at 2000×2000?
No — a normal phone photo is much larger, so it is scaled down and stays sharp.
Can I resize to 2000×2000 without cropping?
Yes. Tick “Keep aspect ratio”: the whole picture is kept, but one side may come out shorter than 2000×2000. Without it, the image fills 2000×2000 exactly and the edges that do not fit the 1:1 shape are trimmed.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
