Resize Image to 5000×5000
5000×5000 is a 25-megapixel square — the upper limit many art marketplaces and print services accept. At 300 DPI it prints 16.7 inches square. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.
Drag the preview to choose which part of the image is kept. The same framing is used for every image in the batch.
Why choose 5000×5000?
5000×5000 is a square image of 25,000,000 pixels (25 megapixels) in a square (1:1), mostly used for high-resolution product photos, covers and prints.
1:1 square shape
The square (1:1) proportion decides how your photo is framed: plan the subject around that shape before you crop.
Where it is used
5000×5000 suits high-resolution product photos, covers and prints. Using the exact size avoids a website scaling or cropping your image on its own.
Prints 16.67×16.67 in at 300 DPI
That is 42.3×42.3 cm at photo quality, or 33.3×33.3 in at 150 DPI for posters viewed from a distance.
About 3.8 MB–7.6 MB as JPG
A typical photo at 5000×5000 saves to roughly 3.8 MB–7.6 MB at good JPG quality; WebP is usually 25–35% smaller.
Sharp results
5000×5000 has more pixels than a 12 MP phone photo. Start from a large original — enlarging a small image will look soft.
Framing control
Filling 5000×5000 from a 4:3 phone photo trims about 25% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick “Keep aspect ratio” to keep it all.

Working at 25 megapixels
Why this limit exists. Many merchandise and art platforms set a maximum around 5000 pixels per side to cap file sizes. Hitting it exactly gives the largest print area they support.
Memory. A 5000×5000 image holds 25 million pixels — about 100 MB in your browser's memory while it is processed. Close other heavy tabs if a phone struggles, and resize one image at a time.
Quality in, quality out. Use a source at least this large; most phone photos are about 4000 pixels on the long side, so squaring one to 5000 means enlarging it.
Output. Expect several megabytes. PNG keeps transparency for merchandise; JPG is far smaller for photographic prints.
Smaller masters: 4000×4000. Largest on this site: 6000×6000.

Frequently asked questions
Will my phone photo look sharp at 5000×5000?
Only if it is already that large. Most phone photos are about 4000 pixels wide, so they would be enlarged and look slightly soft in a close-up print.
What aspect ratio is 5000×5000?
5000×5000 has a square (1:1) aspect ratio. Any size with the same ratio — for example 6000×6000, 4000×4000 — can be scaled to it without cropping.
How big will a 5000×5000 image print?
At 300 DPI (photo quality) 5000×5000 prints at 16.67×16.67 inches (42.3×42.3 cm). At 150 DPI it covers 33.33×33.33 inches, fine for posters seen from further away.
How large is a 5000×5000 file?
A photo at 5000×5000 is usually 3.8 MB–7.6 MB as a JPG, and about 2.7 MB–5.3 MB as WebP. If you need it smaller, run it through the compressor afterwards.
Will my photo lose quality at 5000×5000?
Only if your original is smaller than 5000×5000. Scaling up adds pixels the camera never captured, so it looks soft; start from the largest original you have.
Can I resize to 5000×5000 without cropping?
Yes. Tick “Keep aspect ratio”: the whole picture is kept, but one side may come out shorter than 5000×5000. Without it, the image fills 5000×5000 exactly and the edges that do not fit the 1:1 shape are trimmed.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
