Resize Image to 1500×1500
1500×1500 is a comfortable high-resolution square: inside Apple Podcasts' accepted range for show artwork, sharp for product zoom, and printable at 5 inches at 300 DPI. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.
Drag the preview to choose which part of the image is kept. The same framing is used for every image in the batch.
Why choose 1500×1500?
1500×1500 gives a square canvas with a 1:1 ratio and 2.25 MP of detail. People most often need it for social posts and product photos.
1:1 square shape
The square (1:1) proportion decides how your photo is framed: plan the subject around that shape before you crop.
Where it is used
1500×1500 suits social posts and product photos. Using the exact size avoids a website scaling or cropping your image on its own.
Prints 5×5 in at 300 DPI
That is 12.7×12.7 cm at photo quality, or 10×10 in at 150 DPI for posters viewed from a distance.
About 350 KB–700 KB as JPG
A typical photo at 1500×1500 saves to roughly 350 KB–700 KB at good JPG quality; WebP is usually 25–35% smaller.
Sharp results
A 12 MP phone photo has 5.4× more pixels than 1500×1500, so resizing down keeps it sharp.
Framing control
Filling 1500×1500 from a 4:3 phone photo trims about 25% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick “Keep aspect ratio” to keep it all.

1500×1500 for covers and artwork
Podcast artwork. Apple Podcasts asks for square show art between 1400×1400 and 3000×3000 pixels. 1500×1500 sits safely inside that range with a smaller file than the maximum. Check each directory's current rules before publishing — requirements change and some prefer the full 3000.
Design for thumbnails. Cover art is mostly seen tiny, in lists and on lock screens. Big title text, strong contrast and one clear image read at 60 pixels; fine print and busy collages do not.
Colour space. Export in sRGB. Directories often reject or misrender CMYK or unusual colour profiles.
Product zoom. 1500 pixels is comfortably above the usual zoom thresholds while keeping files manageable — typically 200–450 KB as JPG.
Print. At 300 DPI, 1500 pixels is 5 inches square.
If you need the maximum podcast size, use 3000×3000; for the 1400 minimum, 1400×1400. Other large squares: 1600×1600, 2000×2000.

Frequently asked questions
Is 1500×1500 acceptable for Apple Podcasts artwork?
Yes — Apple's published range for show artwork is 1400×1400 to 3000×3000 pixels, square, in JPG or PNG with RGB colour. 1500×1500 falls inside it. Always check the current guidelines before submitting, as they are updated from time to time.
What aspect ratio is 1500×1500?
1500×1500 has a square (1:1) aspect ratio. Any size with the same ratio — for example 1600×1600, 1400×1400 — can be scaled to it without cropping.
How big will a 1500×1500 image print?
At 300 DPI (photo quality) 1500×1500 prints at 5×5 inches (12.7×12.7 cm). At 150 DPI it covers 10×10 inches, fine for posters seen from further away.
How large is a 1500×1500 file?
A photo at 1500×1500 is usually 350 KB–700 KB as a JPG, and about 250 KB–490 KB as WebP. If you need it smaller, run it through the compressor afterwards.
Will my photo lose quality at 1500×1500?
No — a normal phone photo is much larger, so it is scaled down and stays sharp.
Can I resize to 1500×1500 without cropping?
Yes. Tick “Keep aspect ratio”: the whole picture is kept, but one side may come out shorter than 1500×1500. Without it, the image fills 1500×1500 exactly and the edges that do not fit the 1:1 shape are trimmed.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
