Why rotate and flip here?

Sideways phone pictures, mirrored selfies and crooked horizons are the most common photo annoyances. Fixing them should take one click, not an app download.

  1. Add your images, or drop them onto the box.
  2. Use the buttons to rotate or flip; drag the Straighten slider for small tilts. The preview updates instantly.
  3. Click Apply to all, then download each image or the whole set as a ZIP.
↻

Quarter turns

Rotate left or right by 90°, or a full 180° for upside-down shots and scans.

⇔

Mirror in both directions

Flip horizontally to un-mirror a front-camera selfie, or vertically for reflections and design work.

📐

Straighten by degrees

Fix a tilted horizon in half-degree steps, with white, black or transparent corners.

⚡

Batch in one go

The same rotation is applied to every image you add, then all of them download as a ZIP.

Rotate, flip or straighten — which one you need

Rotate 90° is for photos that appear sideways. This usually happens when a phone was turned while shooting and the app that opens the picture ignores the orientation flag. Turning it here bakes the correct direction into the pixels, so it looks right everywhere — email, Word, old photo frames and printers included.

Flip horizontally mirrors the image left-to-right. Front cameras often save selfies mirrored, which turns text on a T-shirt backwards; one flip fixes it. Flip vertically turns a picture upside-down as a mirror image, which is useful for reflections and for some scanned documents.

Straighten handles small tilts, like a horizon that slopes by two or three degrees. Rotating by a fine angle makes the picture slightly larger than its frame, so the corners are filled with white, black or transparency. Choose transparent and the result is saved as PNG automatically. If you prefer no corners at all, straighten here and then trim the edges with the cropper.

Rotating by 90° or 180° loses no detail. Saving as JPG does re-compress the picture once; at the default quality of 92 the difference is not visible, and PNG output is lossless.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my photo look sideways only on some apps?

The phone saved it with an orientation flag that some apps ignore. Rotating here changes the pixels themselves, so it displays correctly everywhere.

How do I un-mirror a selfie?

Add the photo and click Flip horizontal, then Apply. Text in the picture will read the right way round.

Can I rotate by any angle?

Yes — use the Straighten slider for up to 45° in either direction, combined with the 90° buttons for anything larger.

Does rotating reduce quality?

Not for PNG. For JPG it is saved once at quality 92, which is visually identical. Rotating many times in a row is best done in one go.

Can I rotate several photos at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like; the same rotation and flip apply to all of them and you can download a single ZIP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Rotation happens in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent or stored.
